...that pampers diapers cost more than generic brands: they actually work.
i've been using the generic ones, and i am constantly covered in poop and pee. every diaper is a blowout. thank heavens we're down to the last of the cheap-o's so i can go out and get a new bag...
i don't know how my mom did it with the old-fashioned cloth diapers. even the disposable ones weren't that great back then.

I appreciate the fact that my wife is frugal. It has saved us a lot of money, especially when it came to furnishing our apartment and getting baby stuff.
But, honey, please buy the more expensive diapers. I think we're both on the same page on this one.
Also, I love you!
Amen to all that.
It's a hard but important lesson to learn. Been there, done that!
After being spoiled with gifted pampers and huggies, then switching to generics two days ago, and then experiencing 3 blowouts before noon today...I agree with you whole-heartedly. I'm putting an end to being covered in poop and pee...as soon as my generics run out. ugh. too bad I'm still too cheap to waste the ones I have. Guess we'll do a few extra loads of laundry until then. Good luck with yours!
And my mother-in-law has been lecturing me about how horrible and leaky pampers are for the last 5 months. Yes, 5 months. Not that we have at least 3 to go before we actually use diapers or anything.
That's so funny. I think every mom goes through this. Kristie and I were just talking about what diapers we thought worked the best and trying to save money on them. We're still determined to find some that work as good as pampers, but are a bit cheaper! I'll let you know if we do find any.
maybe they are called pampers because they pamper mommy a bit too. i love those kind..i was using them in virginia and you know what? they just never leak! miss you andrea!
Oh yeah. We bought the walmart brand for a little while and we too experienced the blowouts. Holy cow. We switched to all different kinds depending on what was on sale or what I had coupons for. We finally stuck with Huggies from Costco because they were only 1 cent more for each diaper. They work great!
Oh Andrea, you make me laugh. Its nice to hear your testimony of the expensive brand of diapers... I'll make a sidenote for when I have my own bebes. :) When are you getting to Del Rio?
